 Venue Hire

Home to Auckland Music Theatre, and conveniently located in Western Springs, Westpoint Performing Arts Centre offers a versatile and well-equipped space ideal for performances, rehearsals, workshops, and community events. Owned by the Auckland Musical Arts Trust and managed by volunteers from the Auckland Music Theatre Executive Committee, this venue is a hub for creative expression and collaboration.

Theatre

  • Flat stage space suitable for performances, presentations, and rehearsals

  • Full wall of mirrors ideal for movement-based rehearsals, dance classes, workshops, and choreography development

  • Backstage dressing rooms for costume changes, performer preparation, and production support

  • Versatile venue suitable for performances, rehearsals, workshops, and dance classes

  • Open, adaptable layout that can be configured for a range of creative and event uses

  • Retractable tiered seating for flexible audience arrangements, allowing the space to shift between performance and open-floor use

Please note, we are currently unable to offer in-house sound or lighting support, however we are happy to provide recommendations if required.

 

Workshop Area

  • Spacious workshop space suitable for set-building, props construction, and staging

  • Open-plan layout with room for large materials and structures

  • Space for tools, workstations, and group collaboration

  • Can also be used for rehearsal and blocking

  • Ideal for theatre and production teams

  • Flexible setup for both detailed and large-scale work

Props Hire

Our props collection has been built over time through productions and community support. We have a vast array of items available to hire for theatre, schools, and local creative projects.

Available Items:

  • Furniture (chairs, tables, couches)

  • Hand props

  • Set dressing and decorative pieces

  • Period and themed items

Our wardrobe collection supports community theatre, schools and performance groups and includes a wide range of costumes and accessories. This includes:
